We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share local artist Janet Tod’s unashamedly uplifting art which is the perfect antidote to a grey day and the woes of the world.
Interesting food with great quality & provenance is what we are all about, predominantly British too. Cheeses, charcuterie, local honey, organic eggs, salads & sandwiches to go, handmade breads and seriously yummy treats.
Romeo Jones came to life in the autumn of 2007 and has gone from strength to strength as one of the most interesting independent food shops around. Never taking for granted the importance of good food we seek out small producers and growers from around the country.
An eccentric little gem… over the years our range has evolved to include deli produce for doggies, hand made table wear, local honey & award winning cheeses. Using the produce from the shop we continually change our café menu with the seasons, and often by the day.
With such a rich and diverse art scene locally, Romeo Jones has become a destination to discover both established & celebrated artists, with new artists being showcased every month.
We are open Monday - Saturday from 8am, opening Sunday at 8:30am.
Not only is your faithful friend welcome inside Romeo Jones, you’ll also find the full range of Edgar Cooper pet foods, with fresh meat & fish, fruit & veg, biodegradable packaging, as well supporting doggy charities this has to be the best choice for Fido.
Drop by on your way back from the park for a warming coffee, then pick up supper for the family - four legged ones included.

Simply watch Village life go by from our cafe – with a menu that changes as much as the weather.
This Months menu highlights...
Lebenese lemony lentil soup
Baked orzo with roasted vegetables, mozzarella and basil
Crushed avocado on sourdough
Ploughmans lunch
The coffee is simply the best around.
We start pulling shots early enough to pick one up & perk you up before the school run.
Breakfast is tip top too; scrambled eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon will set you up the rest of the day.
Come and wake up with us!
What’s more British than tea & cake?
We serve Birchall’s Teas as well as a range of home made & decidedly naughty cakes, with a wheat, gluten & dairy free options too.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share local artist Janet Tod’s unashamedly uplifting art which is the perfect antidote to a grey day and the woes of the world.
Janet has been collecting jars for some time and has been painting them with beautiful flowers evoking a sense of the heat of a mythical orient.

On the way out, home, or to the park, pick up a feast, or quick nibble.
Food is freshly made for café every day, but we also make delicious salads, tarts, tortilla, soups, sandwiches to take away, which is complimented by the artisan produced quality foods we love to discover.
Coming from specialist cheese makers Norton & Yarrow, Sinodun Hill is a ripened goats’ cheese pyramid. Sinodun Hill won Best New Cheese at the British Artisan Cheese Awards.
Momo Kombucha is a local maker of these fantastic gut-health supporting drinks, and we have their full range available in the deli, and on the menu too.

Janet is a long-time member of ACME and works from her studio in Deptford and has exhibited extensively over the years. She lives in Brixton with her partner, musician Graeme Douglas. This wonderful collection of affordable original oil paintings, artist’s prints, and limited edition giclee prints are on show and for sale until late January.
Janet’s work is inspired by the ginger jars that were in her grandmother’s home in Glasgow when she was a child.
We’re very lucky to have a happy team at Romeo Jones, some of which have been with us for quite a few years now.
We are always delighted to hear from people who have a true interest in food and are looking for their next move – whether it be cooking, serving or selling it. We love to hear from people who love making great coffee too.
